María Isabel Molina
María Isabel Molina was born in Madrid, Spain. She studied to be a public accountant but from an early age also worked at her true vocation: writing for children and young readers. She won her first literary prize, el Doncel de Cuentos at the age of 18. She has specialized in historical and biographical novels. Her works have earned other prizes, such as el Doncel de Novela, the AMADE Prize, which is awarded by UNICEF, the List of Honor of IBBY, and several CCEI prizes. She is married and has five children and several grandchildren.
